Description

Purpose: Cleans OR suites between cases and terminally at the end of the day to standard.

Assists OR staff with the moving of equipment, run specimens to the lab and assist moving patients under the direction of an RN.

Responsibilities:

Restock sinks and sub sterile rooms daily and as needed.

Run errands to the lab, radiology etc.

Clean OR rooms between cases and terminally at the end of the day.

Remove trash from OR, segregate and transport according to policy.

Assist to move patients on and off bed in the OR suite.

Move equipment as requested by the OR staff.

Qualifications

Some cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.

Work as a nursing assistant preferred.

Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.
