The Position: We are an innovative, team-based pediatric practice currently in search of an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician to add to our team to help us develop and implement a new Integrated Behavioral Health model.
The Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Clinician will work closely with our primary care teams to provide quick access to behavioral health assessment, triage, and brief treatment.
The scope of service includes but is not limited to brief assessment, crisis management, triage, as well as mental health/substance abuse treatment and parent training within the scope of their clinical abilities and training.
This is a salaried, full time position with a schedule of 40 weekly hours, Monday through Friday.
This position is located at our Waterman Pediatrics office in East Providence, RI.
Consults with primary care providers in real time to assist patients and families with identified psychosocial issues; frequently performed as a warm hand off during hours of clinical operation
Assists the primary care provider in recognizing, treating and managing mental health and psychosocial issues and acts as a contributing member to the primary care team
Triages both scheduled and unscheduled referrals from the medical team, treating some with brief treatment/intervention and referring others to more appropriate resources
Provides brief treatment interventions for mild to moderate behavioral health concerns as well as crisis intervention
Conducts patient care in person, telephonically or via telemedicine for consultations and psychological treatment
Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within the State of Rhode Island, in good standing
Prior experience working in a behavioral health or medical setting with child clinical training
