This is a fully remote role with bonus points for candidates living in the Burlington, NJ area.

About the Role

As an Instructional on the Burlington Human Resources Learning Development team supports our talent strategy of attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent.

This is an opportunity to join one of the three Learning Development departments to focus on buyer's curriculum, store associate training, or large organizational development initiatives.


Maintain partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain insight, identify needs, and recommend/design the best learning solutions for subject matter and learner.

Support learning design projects through the design lifecycle from project scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and implementation.

Recommend the appropriate learning delivery method/s to achieve the desired business outcome (instructor-led, leader-led, e-learning, reference materials, webinar, etc.).

Partner with application facilitators/coaches for continuous improvement of existing learning content and development of new learning content.

Review existing content for continued relevance and ongoing updates.

Provide exemplary internal customer service with professionalism and ownership of learning deliverables.

Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration.

Facilitate instructor-led events as required.


Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated experience designing learning including classroom, e-learning, and related course materials.

Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced, often changing environment.

Proficiency working in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and e-learning authoring tools, including Articulate 360, Storyline, and Captivate.

Familiarity with learning management system technology, such as Workday Learning.

Understanding of adult learning theory and training design models as it applies to corporate learning.

Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or Project Management related field preferred, but not required.

Retail, hospitality, grocery, quick service or other equivalent fast-paced industry experience is a plus.
