The Opportunity: The HR Assistant/Staff Trainer performs complex and confidential HR related functions and staff training to ensure each department’s daily operations are executed as efficiently as possible.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Conduct web-based platform training (e.g., HRIS, EHR/EMR, payroll system, etc.) and other training as needed for all employees.

2. Manage new employee onboarding and orientation processes.

3. Ensure that all new hires are entered into the designated Learning Management System (LMS) and trained on usage.

4. Manages full-cycle recruitment process for entry-level positions.

5. Ensure that new hires thoroughly complete pre-employment process prior to conducting orientation.

6. Tracks all compliance expiration dates (e.g., professional licensure, CPR, health documents, etc.) and notifies employees of impending expirations in a timely manner.

7. Set up new hire access to companywide hardware and trains new hires on companywide hardware usage as applicable (e.g., time clock, health screening system, etc.)

8. Performs general administrative duties and manages communication.

9. Creates memos and announcements.

10. Checks supervisory references for prospective employees and maintains employee files.

Other Duties:

1. Organizes and maintains a filing system.

2. Operates as a member of a team both within and across departments.

3. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic.

Associate degree preferred.

Must be able to work well and maintain a pleasant manner under pressure or work with a high degree of interruption.

Ability to type, file and handle a multi-line telephone and radio is essential.

Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Must possess and exhibit a strong positive attitude toward customer service and have a genuine interest in geriatric care and uphold the philosophy of the community.

Must present a well-groomed appearance and demonstrate a courteous, friendly, patient and congenial manner at all times.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions:

Light to moderate physical effort 50% of the time; may be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow); ability to lift 50 pounds; ability to walk 90% of the work day; ability to stoop and stretch occasionally; must observe universal precautions.

Sitting at computer 50% of the time.

Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
