Assistant to Founder / CEOCompany is a marijuana retail store chain in Seattle and surrounding area, that is growing with new locations opening.
Founder is busy with the cannabis business, and in launching another venture, and needs a good assistant to help pull it all off.
Looking for a motivated and detail oriented individual interested in developing their career through experience in the start-up / venture realm.
The role is part-time and would provide a range of experience with tasks helping the CEO, such as research, document review, financial model updating, occasional data entry, and interacting with 3rd party professionals (marketing, lawyers, outside CFO).
May include occasional solo projects.
We will likely tailor duties and responsibilities to the individual, and see this as a great fit for a grad student, working towards their CPA (financial, modeling, and books weighted), J.D. (document and legal review weighted), or MBA; though general tasks will be included.
There may be an opportunity to join the company full time, and with increased pay / responsibility, upon completing your degree, as we are aimed at growing into new markets, and industry opportunities.
Duties may include but are not limited to:Market ResearchRecords gathering and reviewLegal document review and facilitating steps to move documents / projects / deals forwardData work: Document review, and Data entry - BookkeepingAdministrative tasks – bill pay, filings, errands, other tasks as neededHelp us grow our business while advancing your career at the same time.

Projects and priorities will change quickly.
The right candidate for this role will be flexible, have a high attention to detail, and good follow up and written communications.
Skills Required:Experience in market research and documentationExcellent communication skills: email, chat apps, text, etcExperience with reading / reviewing contracts, documents, records, and summarizingAbility to prioritize, multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlinesPeople skills - will be interacting with others in the organization: managers, 3rd party professionals (lawyers, etc)Daily tasks: checking in regarding various tasks and projects daily, communicating via online chat, email, calls, and occasionally on-site.
The work is likely over half- remote work, but we don't want to quote exact as different tailoring of the job will entail different amount of on site work, and there will be some projects and days with on-site tasks.
Flexible Schedule – 20-30 hours a week, we're unsure of what the exact work hours will be.
Expect a few days a week full time, and some part time either morning or afternoon.
This will be a mix of remote and in office.
