Job Description

We are looking for a Project Engineer (Construction Management) to join our team in the Rochester, NY or Buffalo, NY area!

What You'll Do: Assist coordinate, review, and complete various project related activities, documentation, and project controls during the project(s) assigned.

Work with the entire project team in obtaining knowledge and experience in all aspects of the construction process.

Receive, review, approve, and manage the project Requests for Information (RFI) submitted by subcontractors.

Receive, review, approve, and manage project documentation such as meeting minutes, inspection reports, general correspondence with the client or subcontractors.

Receive, review, approve, and manage the project shop drawings submitted by subcontractors.

Coordinates and manages with subcontractors for all material orders, shipping, and site deliveries to meet the project schedule.

Helps manage project plan by reviewing design, specifications, schedule, and safety and recommend actions to maintain project progress.

Helps maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Client regulations.

Perform routine safety inspections when on the project site and document all observations and submit to the project Superintendent.

Assist with preconstruction activities such as drawing reviews, quantity takeoff, bid solicitation, contacting vendors for pricing, and preparation of the project estimate spreadsheet.

Assist in the preparation of project bidding to subcontractors such as contacting subs for interest, distribution of bid documents, answering questions, compiling bids received, and participating in bid analysis and scope reviews.

All other duties as assigned.
