Job Description

The Aircraft Interior Repair & Rejuvenation Team Member is responsible for supporting the Interior Completions & Modifications team with tasks associated to the removal, refurbishment, repair & re-installation of Aircraft Cabin Interior Components according to customer specifications and Duncan Aviation approved procedures.

In addition, this position maintains and cleans shop equipment and organizes shop and hangar areas; and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.

A typical day will include:

Under direct supervision, removal of interior components as outlined in specific aircraft work order I.E (carpet, insulation, soundproofing material, seats, cabinets, drawers, etc...)

Under direct supervision, handling minor repair work & finishing details on wood & veneer products I.E (stripping wood, prep work, sanding, painting, applying stain, filling chips, minor repair work & finish work including buffing & polishing, etc...)

Under direct supervision, assist in Interior Modifications I.E (Dyeing seat fabric, Interior paint & paint touch up, etc...)

Under direct supervision complete installation of interior components as outlined in specific aircraft work order I.E (Installation of new carpet, insulation material, soundproofing material, completed seats, cabinets, drawers, etc...)

Under direct supervision, assist, perform and complete major modifications

Maintain, enter & update computer work orders for associated aircraft work orders

Under direct supervision, research, prepares, and signs off various documents for record keeping purposes as required by Duncan Aviation approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, 8110-3's, and removal sheets, flammability testing, W.O. Sheets, personal training log, and other work order related documents supporting the review squawks and expected hours).

Shift Schedule

1st Shift Monday - Friday

Start Time: 6:00 AM

End Time: 2:30 PM

Job Specific Requirements

Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; Respirator Fit qualified

Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required

Work Schedule: Training will be conducted on a 1st or 2nd shift before moving to assigned schedule.

Time length to be determined

Quality/Attention To Detail: Maintain Duncan Aviation quality standards in finish work (woodwork inspection, repair, etc)

Computer Use: Basic computer experience required (routinely will enter data, notes & information into Duncan Aviation's work order system)

Physical: Occasionally lifts 50 -100 lbs.

; reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting

Environmental: Occasionally will work in above normal temperatures and noisy environments

Education and Experience

Aircraft Interior Trainee:

High School graduate or equivalent required

Minimum one-year aviation interiors experience or two years relevant/related experience preferred (Relevant experience includes: Automotive Interior & Finishing, Detailer, Auto Body Repair, Woodworking, Etc...)
