About This Position

HopeHealth is seeking an experienced Clinical Administrative Assistant for it's affiliate HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence, RI.

The Administrative Assistant provides a positive, warm, calm and competent image and assistance in the coordination and support of patient care delivery.

The Administrative Assistant is a liaison between the patient, the care giving staff, other internal and external departments and the billing department, supporting all three with comprehensive chart management and communications between parties to ensure seamless care.

This is a part-time, 24 hour position working in the Hulitar Hospice Center.

What will you do?

Provides information to callers or routes calls to appropriate personnel, takes messages or relates information in a confidential, accurate, timely and professional manner.

Orders, cancels and changes DME supplies as required by team staff.

Runs reports from data systems such as open orders, active patients, physicians and recertification's as requested or scheduled by manager.

Coordinates the patient review process by maintaining accurate current patient review list.

Provides all needed documentation for IDG meetings.

Communicates all pertinent patient status information to appropriate team members in timely manner.

Types, files, photocopies as needed to support team and site activities.

Assists with scheduling of the Hospice Aides to assure services, staff and schedules are accurate and current.

Keeps manager or designee informed about Hospice Aide coverage and staffing issues.

What are the qualifications for this job?

High school diploma plus additional specialized training

Associate's degree or graduate of a secretarial school program preferred

Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
